Paediatric First Aid Course

Paediatric First Aid Course The Paediatric First Aid course gives candidates the knowledge and ability to deal with emergency first aid situations, particularly when dealing with children. It is an ideal course for parents and those who come into contact with children. Those attending the course will gain the confidence and a range of skills so that you ‘know what to do’ in a first aid or emergency situation involving a child.

• Assessment of the scene
• Prioritisation of casualties
• Assessment of casualties
• Resuscitation
• Choking
• Recovery position
• Causes and treatment of unconsciousness
• Bleeds and burns
• Typical childhood illnesses

Training Outcomes

At the end of the course, each candidate will receive a certificate of satisfactory completion.

Course Duration: 6 hour programme (1 day)
Assessment:  Ongoing assessment is carried out by the trainer throughout the course.
