"In 2015 Hydro began a health and safety and employee welfare improvement drive. Part of this drive involved Know How Training providing IOSH Managing and Working Safely courses for over 400 of our staff across our Birtley, Tibshelf, Cheltenham and Redditch sites. The drive created very positive overall results. In particular, we have seen a significant reduction in the occurrence of accidents and incidents. Know How Training have been proactive, enthusiastic and easy to work with. Over the two year period, their trainers have made a point of getting to know our company and our health and safety issues. During the courses, our staff have been encouraged to stay focussed on hazards, consider their actions, think what if, and report issues."
"This is all done in a light hearted but seriously way by the trainers, who also facilitate discussion on candidates' concerns (and potential solutions) and use personal injects and anecdotes to enhance points made, giving candidates food for thought regarding their own and others' safety. Feedback both from course candidates and our site EHSOs has been consistently good, with the training being considered worthwhile. At the end of each course, the trainer meets with the site's EHSO to discuss points and concerns raised by candidates. This has proved to be a productive bonus to the training, and is outside of the course content. Working with Know How Training has been a very positive experience and a beneficial investment. I highly recommend them to any company looking to focus and enhance their employees' thoughts and understanding regarding health and safety."
