Instead, we need to get better at understanding what can be done to build their resilience, so the pressures of their job become more manageable. This training is for teachers and education professionals.

The Level 2 Award in Fire Safety Principles course allows candidates to develop their basic fire safety awareness. It is particularly useful for employees who are to have a designated responsibility for workplace fire safety, such as fire wardens or fire marshals, and provides the knowledge that will allow them to carry out duties relating to fire safety and emergency procedures.

This course gives candidates the knowledge and ability to deal with emergency first aid situations, particularly when dealing with children. It is an ideal course for parents and those who come into contact with children, so you know what to do in a first aid or emergency situation involving a child. Employers are responsible for providing safe and healthy workplace conditions and the right systems and methods for safe activities. But employees also have a vital part to play in the equation. They need the right knowledge and attitude, which demands proper training in the basics.

Any workplace can choose install on-site AED units. AED access and use vastly increases the survival rate of a cardiac arrest victim. This four hour programme is for those who wish to gain knowledge of emergency first aid procedures and the ability to use an AED.

This level one qualification is aimed at those who carry out manual handling at work, introducing candidates to the risks of manual handling and the controls available. A half day, CIEH awarded training course, it is appropriate for all employees who handle materials, boxes, mail and packages.

A minimum six-hour programme (one day) for those who wish to gain knowledge of emergency procedures and gain a recognised qualification in first aid, where an employers assessment of first aid needs identifies that a three day First Aid at Work qualification is not necessary.

The Early Years Foundation Stage Compliant Paediatric First Aid course is a 12-hour course which covers the Early Years Foundation Stage criteria for childminders. This course gives candidates the knowledge and ability to deal with emergency first aid situations whilst dealing with children.
