ROLO Landscape Operatives Training

This ROLO landscape operatives health and safety training module allows operatives to gain the required level of competence to enter the Register of Landscape Operatives. The Department of Trade and Industry made it a duty of care that all trade bodies ensure that their members were adequately trained in health and safety and that all employers should show that personnel are properly trained.

Who needs ROLO operatives training?

The ROLO scheme (Registration of Land based Operatives) is open to anyone who works in the land based industry. These includes thos who work in landscape construction, horticultural landscape maintenance, arboriculture, pesticides, ecology, environmental eanagement and amenities. The scheme aims to provide a means of identification, keeping a record of workers in the land based industry who have achieved a recognised level of competence.
