Clinical Moving and Handling

  • News

Know How Training now offer a Clinical Moving and Handling course to complement our existing range of health and safety and staff development training courses. Designed to comply with the Manual Handling Regulations (1992) for people in a care setting, the course is split into 2 parts. The first part is the theory, while the second is totally practical.

Clinical Moving and Handling

The practical part of this clinical moving and handling course involves the use of hoists, slings, slide sheets and teaches techniques to help to move people correctly. A hands-on course, the theory side of the course covers workplace injuries, the body and kinetics, the causes of manual handling injuries and much more. We recommend that delegates taking this course wear unrestrictive, practical clothing to allow free movement.

This training course is popular with the local authority, adult health and social care, care homes and workers in the voluntary and community sectors. Find out more about clinical moving and handling in our staff development courses section and contact us today to make a booking for your company.
